Donovan invites submissions on family law


The chairman of Oireachtas Committee on the Constitution, Denis Donovan, has called on people to make submissions to assist changes in the Law relating to The Family.

His Committee is to look at the legal problems associated with gay rights, access for fathers to children, divorce maintenance and co-habitation.

Submissions ranging from 1 to 100 pages will be accepted until January 31.

Denis Donovan has said the Family Law has not changed fast enough since the 1937 Constitution.
